I made these leaves from a technique learned from Pam Watts. The leaves are stitched with free motion embroidery onto a cold water disolvable background. The disolvable isn't disolved away, but moistened with water and has paint dripped onto it. When it dries, the background shrinks and the leaf becomes raised and slightly 3 dimensional.

She used silver mesh to add extra texture, with charms as focal points. Fibres were added too, to continue the movement.

The shiney magazine paper is reflecting more on the photo than in real life. Diane echoed my use of copper and added a very hard to use mohair yarn to hand stitch the edging.
